Perfume Review: Coco Mademoiselle L’Eau Privée by Chanel

If we have to talk about perfumes that are very popular but still I don’t like that it would be Coco Mademoiselle, a mega bomb of patchouli than even for my nose is too much and I think this perfume is quite popular because is Chanel and is far more modern than No 5 to use, but still Coco Mademoiselle came out about two years later than J’adore another perfume I can’t stand but is still popular and have those notes that were popular back then so every time I smell them I can’t help to think of a woman on her 40s, 50s. Probably another reason why I use even having a bottle is because..everybody wears it, just like Black Opium or La Vie est Belle is a perfume that would make you easily forgettable because so many girls have made it their signature fragrance. So this flanker came out this year and decided to do a blind purchase, and i do have mixed feelings about so let’s start with the notes:

  • TOP NOTE: Mandarin
  • HEART NOTES: Jasmine, Rose
  • BASE NOTE: Musk

Well the patchouli has disappeared which is good but at the same time was the DNA from the original Coco Mademoiselle, what surprises me is that the brand sell it as a night scent but not for attending a dinner or a party but to go to sleep, which is funny because opens fresh and quickly switch to the Jasmine Rose mix, if you want to help someone to fall asleep go for lavender or any essential oil that helps to sleep. It was strange that marketing concept of “night scent”, this is actually a watered version, the sillage is extremely poor, the projection is also really poor, the duration less than a hour which is strange having musk as a base note. For me this a very expensive body spray, is really quite watered.

If you like Coco Mademoiselle EDP but can’t stand the patchouli on it then try this one BUT I really recommend to don’t blind purchase it, try on the skin have a walk for 1 or 2 hours and decide because seriously the performance is extremely poor and doesn’t justify the high price tag, is a very forgettable perfume, this is just another poor flanker from Chanel and a huge No from me.
